Volunteering, and Having Fun Doing It!
How We Do It
The Civic Club is a registered 501C non-profit organization. In order to accomplish our goals stated in our mission statement we have two primary functions within the club. We have FUND RAISING PROGRAMS which are run by our First Vice President. And we have RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS run by our Second Vice President.
You can tell when the Civic Club is Involved
Some days when you drive by Town Hall you'll see activity. Sometimes there will be equipment strewn around the field, other times there will be trucks, cars, trailers. It could be setup or breakdown for Junior Olympics, or Independence Day
celebration, or the fishing derby or any other event that we sponsor.
But what you'll hear is laughter, and our members having fun. Getting things done, and enjoying the comradery of working with a group of people who are participating in something that makes the place they live a better place.
We were founded in 1947, and incorporated in 1957. The building that our club is housed in was built by Civic Club members on a volunteer basis in 1980.
On the fourth Monday of every month we meet at our club which is next to Hampstead Town Hall on Main Street.
Meeting begin at 8:00pm and last about 90 minutes. It's a great opportunity to meet new people and find an event or program that you would like to be involved in.
